The example of the two groups is that of a blind and deaf person on the one hand, and a seeing and hearing one on the other. Are the two equal when compared? Would you still pay no heed? (24

Then, after them, We sent Musa16 and Harun with Our signs to Pharaoh and his group, but they showed arrogance. And they were surely a guilty people. (75) So, when Truth came to them from Us, they said, “It is certainly a clear magic.” (76)Musa said, “Do you say (this) about the Truth when it came to you? Is this magic, while the magicians do not achieve success?” (77) They said, “Have you come to us to turn us away from the way on which we have found our fathers, and so that you both have supremacy on earth? We are not going to believe in you.” (78) And Pharaoh said, “Bring to me every knowledgeable magician.” (79) So, when the magicians came, Musa said to them, “Cast what you have to cast.” (80) So, when they had cast, Musa said, “All that you have brought is magic. Allah will certainly bring it to naught. Be assured that Allah does not set right the work of the mischief-makers.” (81) And Allah establishes the truth through His words, even though the guilty ones may dislike it. (82) Then, except some youths of his people, no one believed in Musa for the fear of Pharaoh and his group, lest he should persecute them. Pharaoh was high-handed in the land and he was of those who crossed all limits. (83) And Musa said, “My people, if you have believed in Allah, then, in Him place your trust if you are obedient.” (84) So, they said, “In Allah we have placed our trust: Our Lord, do not make us a victim of the unjust people, (85) And save us, through Your mercy, from the disbelieving people.” (86) And We revealed to Musa and his brother: “Have houses for your people in Egypt, and make your houses worship oriented, 17 and establish Salah, and give good tidings to the believers.” (87) Musa said, “Our Lord, You have given Pharaoh and his group glamour and riches in the worldly life, so that, our Lord, they mislead (people) from Your path. Our Lord, obliterate their riches and harden their hearts, so that they may not come to believe until they witness the painful punishment.” (88) Allah said, “The prayer of the two of you has been granted; so stand firm, and never follow the way of the ignorant.” (89) And We let the children of Isra’il cross the sea. So, Pharaoh and his troops chased them in transgression and hostility, until when he was about to drown, he said, “I believe that there is no god but the One in whom the children of Isra’il believe, and I am among those who submit to Allah.” (90) Allah said,) “Is it now (that you have come to believe) while you were rebellious all along, and you were among the mischief-makers? (91) So, today, We shall save your body, so that you may become a sign for those after you. 18 And many of the people are heedless of Our signs.” (92) And surely We gave the children of Isra’il a proper place to live, and provided them with good things. Then they did not disagree between themselves but after knowledge had come to them. 19 Surely, Allah will decide between them on the Day of Judgment about the matters in which they used to dispute each other. (93) So, (O prophet,) even if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, ask those who read the Book (revealed) before you. 20 Surely, truth has come to you from your Lord, so never be among those who are suspicious. (94) And never be among those who have rejected Allah’s signs, lest you should be among the losers. (95) Surely, those against whom the Word of your Lord stands settled will not believe, (96) Even though every sign comes to them, unless they witness the painful punishment. (97)

English Translation of Al-Quran

[21].Al-Anbiya' [The Prophets]
Ayat 68. They said: "Burn him and help your âliha (gods), if you will be doing."
Ayat 69. He (Allah) said: "O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim PBUH (Abraham)!"
Ayat 70. And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers.
[Tafseer] They said, "Burn him and protect your gods, If ye do (anything at all)!" We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham!" The nature of fire, by all the physical laws of matter, is to be hot. The supremacy of mind over matter is a phrase much used, but the supremacy of the spiritual over the material is not so commonly understood. And yet it is the greatest factor in the estimate of Reality. The material is ephemeral and relative. The spiritual is eternal and absolute. Through all the fire of persecution and hatred Abraham remained unhurt. The fire became cool, and a means of safety for Abraham. Can we form any idea of the place where he passed through the furnace, and the stage in his career at which this happened? Abraham (PBUH) revolted against this quite early in life, and his argument is referred to in 6:74-82. They also had idols in their temples, probably idols representing heavenly bodies and celestial winged creatures.

[20].Surah Taha [Tâ-Hâ]

Ayat 68. We (Allah) said: "Fear not! Surely, you will have the upper hand.
Ayat 69. "And throw that which is in your right hand! It will swallow up that which they have made. That which they have made is only a magician's trick, and the magician will never be successful, no matter whatever amount (of skill) he may attain."
Ayat 70. So the magicians fell down prostrate. They said: "We believe in the Lord of Harun (Aaron) and Mûsa (Moses)."
[Tafseer] The meaning may be either that falsehood and trickery may have their day, but they cannot win everywhere, especially in the presence of Truth, or that trickery and magic must come to an evil end.

[21].Al-Anbiya [The Prophets]

Ayat 78. And (remember) Dawud (PBUH)(David) and Suleiman (PBUH)(Solomon), when they gave judgment in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night and Allah was witness to their judgment.
Ayat 79. And Allah made Suleiman (Solomon) to understand (the case), and to each of them Allah gave Hukman (right judgment of the affairs and Prophethood) and knowledge. And Allah subjected the mountains and the birds to glorify Our Praises along with Dawud (PBUH)(David), And it was We Who were the doers (of all these things).

[Tafseer] And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: Allah did witness their judgment. To Solomon Allah inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) Allah gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises with David: it was Allah Who did (all these things). The sheep, on account of the negligence of the shepherd, got into a cultivated field (or vineyard) by night and ate up the young plants or their tender shoots, causing damage, to the extent of perhaps a whole year's crop. David was king, and in his seat of judgment he considered the matter so serious that he awarded the owner of the field the sheep themselves in compensation for his damage. The Roman Law of the Twelve Tables might have approved this decision, now obsolete. His son Solomon, a mere boy of eleven, thought of a better decision, where the penalty would better fit the offence. The loss was the loss of the fruits or produce of the field or vineyard: the corpus of the property was not lost. Solomon's suggestion was that the owner of the field or vineyard should not take the sheep altogether but only detain them long enough to recoup his actual damage, from the milk, wool, and possibly young of the sheep, and then return the sheep to the shepherd. David's merit was that he accepted the suggestion, even though it came from a little boy: Solomon's merit was that he distinguished between the corpus and income, and though a boy, was not ashamed to put his case before his father. But in either case it was Allah Who inspired the true realization of justice. He was present and witnessed the affair, as He is present everywhere. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth celebrates the praises of Allah. Even the "thunder repeated His praises"; 13:13. All nature ever sings the praises of Allah. David sang in his Psalms, 148:7-10: "Praise the Lord from the earth, ye...mountains and all hills...creeping things and flying fowl!" All nature sings to Allah's glory, in unison with David, and angels, and men of Allah.

English Translation of Al-Quran

[21].Al-Anbiya [The Prophets]

Ayat 80. And We taught him the making of metal coats of mail (for battles), to protect you in your fighting. Are you then grateful?

[Tafseer] It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other´s violence: will ye then be grateful? The making of coats of mails is attributed to David. It is defensive armour, and therefore its discovery and supply is associated with deeds of righteousness in 34:10-11, in contrast with the deadly weapons which man invents for offensive purposes. Indeed, all fighting, unless in defence of righteousness is mere "violence." David's good work then was: (1) he was open to learn wisdom wherever it came from; (2) he sang the praises of Allah, in unison with all nature; (3) he made defensive armour. But all these things he did, because of the faculties which Allah had given him, and we must be grateful for this and for all things to Allah.

[21].Al-Anbiya [The Prophets]
Ayat 104. And (remember) the Day when We shall roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books, as We began the first creation, We shall repeat it, (it is) a promise binding upon Us. Truly, We shall do it.
Ayat 105. And indeed We have written in Zabur (Psalms) [i.e. all the revealed Holy Books the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur'an] after (We have already written in) Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz (the Book, that is in the heaven with Allah), that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land (i.e. the land of Paradise).
Ayat 106. Verily, in this (the Qur'an) there is a plain Message for people who worship Allah (i.e. the true, real believers of Islamic Monotheism who act practically on the Qur'an and the Sunnah legal ways of the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH).
[Tafseer] The world—the universe—as we know it, will be folded up like a scroll of parchment, for it will have done its work. If Allah created all this world out of nothing, He can create an entirely new heaven and a new earth, on a plane of which we can form no conception in our present life. And He will do so, for that is His promise. Some Commentators understand Sijill to be the name of the Recording Angel who closes the Book of a man's Deeds after the man's death. Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth." Zabur. the Book of the Psalms of David. The name of David is expressly mentioned in connection with the Zabur in 4:163 and 17:55, although there the indefinite article is applied to the word as meaning a Book of Scripture. See Psalms 25:13, "his seed shall inherit the earth": 37:11, "the meek shall inherit the earth" (quoted by Jesus in Matt. 5:5); and 37:29, "the righteous shall inherit the land.". The same promise occurs in the Pentateuch, Exod. 32:13, "they shall inherit it (the land) forever." Verily in this (Quran) is a Message for people who would (truly) worship Allah. The culmination of Allah's Revelation is in the Quran, which confirms previous scriptures, corrects the errors which men introduced into them, and explains many points in detail for all who seek right worship and service to Allah— whether they inherit the previous Books ("People of the Book") or not. It is a universal Message.
